Next Meetings
Cubs offers a fantastic opportunity to engage with the world of Scouting while learning the values and principles they can use in later life. In the guise of fun, adventure, and the outdoors, we aim to impart vital life skills, such as confidence, leadership, communication, team building, problem solving, independence, and critical thinking.
Cubs offers a wide range of activities suited to the age of the young people while encouraging them to make friends with those around them. The Packs each meet once a week and undertake a variety of badge work, games, creative, and outdoor activities, alongside the traditional scouting skills. We aim to be outside as much as possible and emphasise core scouting values such as friendship, respect, tolerance, global issues, and loving the world and environment around us. We are active in the community and have a strong network across the whole group - with the Beavers, Scouts, and Explorers.
We make use of local facilities, such as visitor centres, sporting and outdoors centres, museums, wildlife centres, and parklands. Highlights of the Cub year include our adventurous activities, regular hikes, and of course the camps and sleepovers, which are filled with fun, independence, challenge and adventure. In addition to the weekly term-time meetings there are frequent additional events including local, regional, and national activities where available.
