At 3rd Alton we are proud to say that we have a very active Scout Troop which consists of boy and girls from 10.5 to 14 years old.  The Scouts take part in a wide range of activities from hiking, canoeing and much more. They also spend time collecting badges, learning practical skills such as cooking on open fires, as well as making lots of new friends.

Scouts are organised into patrols and even have their own patrol identity in the form of a wild animal, which they also wear on their uniform as a patrol badge. Each patrol is coordinated by an older Scout who is called a Patrol Leader, and supported by their Assistant Patrol Leader.

Generally the troop meet on a Thursday evening from 7pm till 9pm at our Scout Hut next to the community hospital in Alton.

If you are interested in joining the troop, or fancy popping down to see what the fuss is all about, please drop us an email and we can arrange a date - click here to register your interest
